 Mutiny Universe is Jason’s childhood dream come to fruition. At the age of twelve, he knew that he would grow up to make movies. Inspired by David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, Tim Burton’s Batman, and George Lucas’ Star Wars, Jason knew that telling stories through cinema was more than simply that. He discovered that it was an art form unlike any other – a painting with a palette of life and light and sound. He spent the next several years exploring the world of filmmaking through movies, books, and his dad’s camcorder while nursing his other talents for painting, music, and acting.
Jason wrote his first feature-length script at age nineteen and quickly garnered respect and accolades while in film school. He has been written up in Variety, won third place in the international NATPE short film competition, won the Best Director award, as well as the Best Actor award three years in a row at the Cinematic Visions Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Jason feels his vision and his passion for artistic expression of all kinds make him a more complete and creative director and a more resourceful producer. He finds particularly inspired chemistry with the other members of Mutiny Universe and looks forward to a successful feature film debut with Elan Vital and continued excellence in visionary, intelligent filmmaking with the dream turned reality, Mutiny Universe.
