Katy Savage was inspired at an early age by the creative genius of filmmakers, comedians, artists, and musicians. Having grown up in a household that fostered these talents, Katy seemed destined to pursue a career in one or more of these fields. But filmmaking, combining all of these elements to make it the ultimate form of creative expression, drew Katy’s attention and abilities with ferocity.
She produced several short films that won national and international awards including a College Emmy, and her talent was recognized by the prestigious Women in Film organization through which she received a Crystal Scholarship Award. She was also recognized by screenwiter Robert LoCash who hired her to help write Columbia Pictures’ not-yet-released Prisonaz of War… and this was all while still in college.
Since graduating Summa Cum Laude from the film department at CSU Los Angeles and earning the Alumni Certificate of Honor, Katy has remained passionate about producing bigger projects with the talented co-founders of Mutiny Universe, and she hopes to one day inspire others with the great films and boundless vision of Mutiny Universe.
